Schwarzkopf's story begins in 1898 in the city of Berlin when chemist Hans Schwarzkopf opened a modest pharmacy called "The Dye, Drug and Perfumery Store", which in addition to selling medicines and beauty products, contained a small perfumery section. At that time, Hans was unhappy and did not like the expensive and harsh soaps that were used to wash his hair and, in 1903, he decided to create his first product: a powdered shampoo that dissolved in water.
