Eryfotona Ak Nmsc Fluid SPF100 from Isdin is a sunscreen indicated for the protection and treatment of skin with actinic keratosis (or solar keratosis), preventing the appearance and increase of red and scaly lesions. This care reduces and improves the field of subclinical skin cancer associated with actinic keratoses (AK) and nonmelanoma skin cancers (NSCLC). Actinic keratosis is the most common cutaneous neoplasm and it is estimated that for each clinically visible AK there is a maximum of 10 subclinical lesions (not yet visible), so it is very important not only the treatment of the lesion but of the whole field associated cancers. Very high sun protection (SPF100).
Actinic keratosis: Surface lesions that arise on skin exposed to intense sunlight for long periods of time. They appear as small stains of red or brownish color, with scaly surface (rough). The areas where actinic keratoses most commonly occur are: face, chest, back of the hands, ears (in men), and scalp (in bald men). It is most common in light-skinned individuals who have been exposed to UV rays for many years. These arise when the local immune system is weaker and is not able to repair cellular damage caused by prolonged skin exposure to UV radiation. Actinic keratoses are generally considered to be precancerous and may progress to squamous cell carcinomas and should be treated as soon as they are detected.
