History

During the crazy 70's Bevery Hills hairstylist Geri Cusenza was styling Barbra Streisand for a photo shoot, and after hours of work got the frizzy, rebellious look of the time. But Cusenza knew there had to be an easier way to get the edge beaded effect. Later, she and her husband John created a tool that would revolutionize the trend and fashion: the curling iron. This product was a hit at the time and the young couple pioneering the industry began to create products and formulas that hairstylists and hairstylists around the world would want to own. In 1973 John Sebastian and Geri Cusenza founded Sebastian International, Inc. and began to innovate and challenge the entire beauty care industry. For more than two decades, Sebastian has maintained the authority in style and fashion, with products like the Hairspray Shaper and Potion 9 a must have in any salon. |
