Hygiene

What it is and what it is for?

Over time people have felt the need to keep their bodies clean and healthy. It was then that the word hygiene emerged, used to define rules and techniques, as well as products that help people keep their bodies clean and healthy.

What are the most used ingredients and their function?

In intimate hygiene, gentle, delicate and natural ingredients are usually used that try not to change the skin's ph too much.
In oral hygiene, the most used ingredients are water and fluoride, which provide a great help against tooth decay.
Finally, in first-aid products, the most used ingredients are water and alcohol, which help to disinfect wounds.

Which types exist and what are their differences?

In hygiene, there can be several types, but speaking only of personal hygiene, three types can be considered, intimate hygiene, oral hygiene and first aid hygiene.
For starters, intimate hygiene products are usually in the form of creams and gels, aiming to take care of the intimate part of the body.
Oral hygiene products are used for oral care, protection and cleaning, such as: toothpaste (used to clean teeth), toothpaste (used to soothe gums) and mouthwash (used to keep the healthy gums).
Finally, we have first aid hygiene products, which are usually sprays or gels,
used after an incident that leaves small wounds, cuts and scrapes.

What is the most used packaging format and what are the most frequent sizes?

Intimate hygiene and first aid creams, sprays and gels usually come in tubes and bottles and vary between 50ml and 120ml.
Oral hygiene products usually come in tubes or plastic containers and can vary in weight depending on whether it is an elixir or paste.

What to take into account when choosing hygiene products?

When choosing a hygiene product, we must always take into account which part of the body it will be used for and for which functionality.
If you are thinking of buying an intimate hygiene product, you should take into account what type of skin you want to use and what type of treatment you want to have. So, choose a product that meets your skin's needs and respects the ph.
If it is an oral hygiene product, check which mouth treatment you want to treat as there are specific toothpastes for the gums.
First aid products are always useful to always have at home because we don't know when they will be needed. However, if they are for a specific skin type or treatment, it is always recommended to read the product leaflet.

What are the recommendations for use and tips?

Intimate hygiene products are usually used directly on the area to be treated.
Oral hygiene products in paste form are applied on brushes and liquids are used in a glass up to a certain number of milliliters.
Finally, first aid hygiene products in the form of a spray and cream are used directly on the area to be treated.

What are the pros and cons of using hygiene products?

There is usually no downside to using hygiene products, but we have to follow some rules.
In the case of intimate hygiene, we should not use too much so as not to change the ph of the skin.
In the case of oral hygiene, we should not brush our teeth more than 3 times a day so as not to damage the gums.
And finally, in first aid, they should only be used, when necessary, as too much use can cause skin discomfort.
