History

Sisters Jean and Jane Ford are the founders of the American brand Benefit. In the 70s, they combined their knowledge of cosmetics with their corporate vision and created a beauty boutique in San Francisco called The Face Place. Specializing in quick solutions for the most varied beauty dilemmas, it was an immediate success. Then three more boutiques opened. The quality of its formulas, its practical and original formats, and the fun spirit explain the success of the brand, which expanded throughout the US in the 1990s. In 1999, the Moet Hennessy Loius Vuitton or LVMH group acquired Benefit and launched it worldwide. The brand is liberal and modern, known for its vintage packaging, inspired by the 50s and 60s and its pin-up look. Benefit's DNA is creativity and humour, with funny phrases and catchy names. Lollipop-shaped glosses and names like Some Kind of Gorgeous explain the brand's success. |
